Basic introduction to pattern making and construction for those students intending to study fashion at tertiary level.POST-TERTIARY TUITION:
Advanced tuition in pattern making and construction for graduates from tertiary Fashion Programmes, particularly for those intending to enter the Fashion Industry as junior pattern makers or graders.APPROPRIATE LEARNING LEVELS:
Tuition provided at appropriate levels as follows:Basic level: For:
- students, having no previous experience in pattern making, seeking basic knowledge and practical application in pattern making prior to undertaking fashion studies at tertiary level.
- students having home sewing experience, seeking to gain further experience using industrial methods.
Intermediate Level:
For those wishing to gain further knowledge and practical experience in pattern making techniques, who have completed:- the basic level as outlined above
- short courses or night classes at tertiary level
- industrial experience.
Advanced Level:
For those wishing to gain knowledge of advanced pattern making techniques who have completed:- the intermediate level as outlined above.
- at least two years full-time study at a Tertiary Institution.
